John Nickum

A regular contributor to Aquaculture North America, and co-owner of Nickum and Nickum, John specializes in aquaculture; culture of freshwater finfish; pond and small lake management; fish health; ecology of large rivers;  and philosophy of resource conservation. He has managed US programs at the national and international levels in fish health and aquaculture, managed inter-agency cooperative research, education and extension programs in aquaculture, fisheries management and aquatic ecology. He has also been a university professor at Cornell University, Iowa State University, and South Dakota State University.
