Brian Kingzett joins Nisbet Oyster Co

Seafood processing and marketing company Nisbet Oyster Co Inc (NOC) has named Brian Kingzett as senior biologist and vice-president, Affiliated Companies, at NOC.

            Prior to joining Nisbet Oyster in May, Kingzett was the manager of the $11-million award winning Deep Bay Marine Field Station developed by the Centre for Shellfish Research (CSR) at Vancouver Island University and has led this project since its inception, according to Kingzett’s LinkedIn profile.

             Prior to joining the CSR in 2006, Brian Kingzett was the founder of the Blue Revolution Consulting Group, a team of aquaculture and fisheries professionals operating from Nanaimo, British Columbia.

            Nisbet Oyster Co is based in Washington State and trades under the “Goose Point” brand. Products include fresh and innovative value-added shellfish products, specializing in oysters farmed in Willapa Bay on the south Washington coast. Affiliated companies include Goose Point Oysters Inc. and Hawaiian Shellfish LLC.
